Admissions Requirements

Prospective students are required to submit signed registration forms, which include giving evidence of the following qualifications:

  1. Conversion.

  2. A general knowledge of the Word of God.

  3. Sufficient experience in Christian work to indicate that the applicant has some endowments for such work and that already he or she has endeavored to exercise these gifts in a local church.


As part of the registration process, new students are required to provide the name, address, and phone number of the following two references:  the pastor of the church of which the applicant is a member, and one Christian testifying to character and ability.  Reference forms may be sent to them by the Wilbur Henry Waters School of Religion, Inc., and Theological Seminary and should be returned by the students directly to the Wilbur Henry Waters School of Religion, Inc., and Theological Seminary Registrar.

  4. Official transcript(s) of credits sent to the Registrar directly by the Educational Institution(s) concerned or proof of educational standing.

Before students are admitted and subsequently at the start of each academic session, they will be required to sign a "Conditions for Admission" before they can start taking courses.

The following are the criteria for transfers of credits:

  1. Transferable courses must be of a 2.0 or C grade level and be in kind with the courses offered at Wilbur Henry Waters School of Religion, Inc., and Theological Seminary.  If there is any question, a copy of the transferring institution's course description publications (catalog or other) must be supplied.

  2. Courses transferred from a non­college or non­accredited source must meet the criteria of the Wilbur Henry Waters School of Religion, Inc., and Theological Seminary.

Churches adult education classes, seminars, and workshops are not acceptable as transferable course work.

An official transcript must be sent directly from the transferring institution.  Student copies may not be accepted under any circumstances, even with the official emblem and signatures.  It is the responsibility of the student to have the official transcript sent to the Wilbur Henry Waters School of Religion, Inc., and Theological Seminary. The final determination on acceptance of credits for a transferring student is based upon his/her maintenance of a (C) grade or 2.0 grade point average the first semester of attendance at Wilbur Henry Waters School of Religion, Inc., and Theological Seminary.

Students transferring to other school may request a transcript from Wilbur Henry Waters School of Religion, Inc., and Theological Seminary.  The cost of requesting a transcript is $25.  The transcript will be mailed directly to the requesting institution.  In order to receive credit for a class, all registration and tuition dues must be paid in full.

TUITION & FEES

  1. A $100.00 non-­refundable registration fee.

  2. Tuition fee is based on the following academic levels: (1) $100 per Associate level class; (2) $150 per Bachelor level class; (3) $200 per Master level class; and (4) $250.00 per Doctor level class each semester (two semesters per academic ).

TRANSCRIPTS

Students transferring from recognized theological seminaries will be given advanced standing to the extent that their credits approximate the curriculum of Wilbur Henry Waters School of Religion, Inc., and Theological Seminary.  Meaning that, in all courses due credit will be given for work done of a comparable nature in other schools where a grade of C or above has been achieved, the equivalent to be decided by the Board of Directors, Dean and Faculty. 

Because the Wilbur Henry Waters School of Religion, Inc., and Theological Seminary deems its courses essential for graduation, it will not be possible to extend credit for subjects bearing minor similarity to those listed in the prescribed curriculum.  No more than two-­thirds of the required credit may be transferred to the Master of Divinity, the Master of Theology, the Doctorate of Divinity, and Doctorate of Theology programs.  A student must take at least one full year of studies  (minimum of 30 school hours) at Wilbur Henry Waters School of Religion, Inc., and Theological Seminary to receive any degree or certificate.

Readmission Policy and Provisional Status

A student who has not taken classes at Wilbur Henry Waters School of Religion, Inc., and Theological Seminary for two or more consecutive semesters will be considered for reentry only after a letter of request has been submitted to the Registrar and Dean prior to the opening of the current semester.

A student who has been admitted provisionally pending completion of the application procedure may not continue on this basis more than one semester.  If all the required materials have not been received by the end of that time, the student may not continue his/her studies.

A student who fails to make payment on his/her account or to make adequate arrangements regarding payment will be asked to discontinue attendance of classes.

CHRISTIAN CONDUCT

All students must maintain conduct becoming to a Christian.  They must be in good standing with their home church.  Believers in Christ speak the truth, seek out reconciliation and share what they have received (Ephesians 4: 24-25).  A true Christian is known by his or her good speech and kindness toward others.

Students should treat each other as they would like to be treated (Matthew 7:12) and while none of us will be perfect in this life, for Christ is our perfection, yet God has set a goal by godly moral conduct for sanctification of believers throughout scripture. 

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

Students must complete the credits required for their programs with an average of at least 70%.
